I barely ever post twice in one day but today has been the most perfect day ever! Beach was amazing, got a nice photo of my peacock nails in the sand. The weather was nice the entire time, got some nice pictures and safely made it back home. What did I see when I got home you ask? My two packages that I ordered!! I am overly excited for this batch of mail because its holds new brands for me :) I told myself that I am not to order any more nail polish till I get me another job, but I stumbled upon Rebecca Likes Nails blog I got overwhelmed. She has so many post of swatches and included a link to site to get Kleanocolor for 1.75 ea.! I was sold, than I have also been wanting to buy from Llarowe to get the brand Hits, so when she posted about the brand Glitter Gal that is also sold on Llarowe I had to get one of her colors. So with out further ado, picture of my new polishes!!
O I might of forgot to add that half of these are Holos!! My only one disappoint from these are that the Glitter Gal is SOO small. Ill have to use that sparingly which is hard cause I've seen so many designs done with it. Now my problem is where do I start?? I almost want to do a skittle so I can try more than one at a time! Hint to next post :) Let me know what you would like to see and I'll get to it!

Sparkle Peacock!

As I posted last week I bought the Bundle Monster Set and the ever so popular peacock stamp is the one reason I really wanted it. This mani has alot of different styles and here is mine!
To start with I did a vertical gradient which is different from horizontal ones. The colors I used were Orly: Halleys Commet, Nicole by OPI: Kendal on the Katwalk and Nina Ultra Pro: Purplin-Xing. I used plate BM-212 and stamped with Sally Hansen: Silver Sweep. Added blue dots with dotting tool and used Color Club: Sky High.
I wish I had a gold metallic that I could have stamped with instead but make do with what we have! I also cut my nails down some cause my pointer finger keeps peeling at the tips so going to try and stop this! More stamping to come now that my nails aren't long. This sparkle is going to look amazing when I go to the beach tomorrow!!
How do you like my version?

Ruffle Mani

This mani is inspired by the popular ruffle mani that Sarah from Chalkboard Nails did a tutorial on shown here. I decided to mix it up alittle using the same technique.
To start my base coat is Studio M: Whose That Girl. I used the following colors to produce this mani, OPI: Pamplona Purple, Russian Navy, China Glaze: Splish Splash, Shower Together, Beach Cruise-r, Orly: Plum Noir, Sally Hansen: Lacey Lilac.
I went with a blue and purple color scheme, I'm not sure how I like this one, I think the diagonals are okay but not so much the circle pattern. Your opinon?

Freehand Purple Cheetah

I am totally in love with this mani, I found a new blog last night that I have been going thru all her post. She is amazing check out Rebecca at Rebeccalikesnails. I love how she free hands cheetah so that you can use different colors without having to have them be stamp able colors. I did mine with dotting tools, I need to get a brush set soon so I can master this look.
To start my base color is Sally Hansen: Lacey Lilac, the inside of the cheetah is China Glaze: Harmony, while I used China Glaze: VIII for the lines. Its a dark purple little hard to tell. My studs came for the Dollar Nail Art Store. This was a great way to incorporate them.
I hope you all love this mani as much as me. I am really getting the hang of nail art. Let me know if you have any suggestions for me.

Neon Dots

I decided to do this mani to get some practice using my new Dotting Tools from Born Pretty Store. Of course its neon cause of the summer, not the most original but I love neons.
The colors I used were base coat of Wet n Wild: French White Creme. China Glaze: Orange Knockout, I'm With the Lifeguard, Pool Party, and Splish Splash, than Nina Ultra Pro: Solar Flare, and Punki Purple. Out the Door Top Coat.
The dotting tool is pretty easy, I tried two different ways of applying the polish to the tool. One was putting it on a plastic plate and pushing the tool into it, the other was using the brush to apply the polish. I think the second way worked better since it didn't waste as much polish.
How do you work your dotting tools?

My Stash

I have decided to share picture of my stash with you today. I love seeing other bloggers and decided that it would be neat to have a picture of what I started with and than after a year see how much it grew!
Now the containers I use are different from other bloggers, their stash is more stationary I like to be able to carry mine around. My sister likes me to bring my stash home on days I visit, and lately my cousins have been asking for mani so this will make that easier than having them come to my small house with 2 roommates.
The clear container on top has all my nail art and stamping equipment, I just bought that this morning since all I had was the boxes from shipping. The green lid containers is full of my more high end polishes, with cotton balls and remover laying on top. The pink container has nail cutters and files in the pink compartments than it has a tray on the top that I keep my nail treatments and french manicure polishes. The bottom of the container is full of department store polishes ones that I have had since a kid to.
All these containers I have bought at Hobby Lobby you can get them so cheap with the 40% off coupon!
Grand Total of all nail polishes is 147!! Can't wait to see what I have in a year!

Foil Transfer First Attempt

Here is my first try at using Transfer Foils. I got these beauties from the Dollar Nail Art Store. For only a dollar you get a long roll and it only takes about 6 inches to do both hands. They are very simple to apply, you get adhesive cover the entire nail wait 5 minutes than you rub on the foil and pull it off! The pattern stay on as long as you applied enough glue. They have SO many different patterns, I can't wait to try out the other 5 I bought.
So shiny in the sun!
To start my base coat was Orly: Close Your Eyes, I applied the adhesive on a diagonal line than used my Foil Transfer named Rainbow Swirl. Used my Sally Hansen: Top Coat, the directions claim if you use a Quick Dry top coat will cause the nail foil to shrink. To apply the glitters I used Studio M: Stuck on You, than my top coat of Out the Door.
The tips don't look the best but I will be working on perfecting this nail art! How do you feel about nail foils?

Hex Flowers, Mosaic Accent

I give you my first attempt with applying hex glitters. I am using this mani for an entry into BornPretty June Contest. Flowers was one of the categories we could choose from to use in our nail art. I think my ring finger looks like a mosaic tile, and decided to just do the tips to off play the entire nail.
To do this mani I started out with two coats of China Glaze: White on White. To apply the hex glitters I used Studio M: Stuck On You. Than two top coats of Out the Door to make sure I wouldn't loose any of my glitters :)
Look at how it shines in the sun! It's alittle harder to see the flowers with all the shine but I still LOVE this mani. I hope everyone loves this mani as much as I do.

Nail Art Mail!!

I am SO excited that the nail art supplies I ordered from Dollar Nail Art Store finally arrived!!!
This is the site to get all the smallglequins, rhinestones, nail stripping tape, foils, laser lace and much more. Everything is a dollar and the site has a minimum of $25 purchase, but there is defiantly not a problem trying to find 25 items to get on this site!
I feel less as an immature nail artist with these supplies and can't wait to use these supplies and show you my creations!

Neon Stars!

I am really excited about this post, I ordered some items from Born Pretty Store and they have arrived! Pictured below is the black stripping tape, dotting tools, and stamping plate CK- 04
The colors I used are as followed: Pink nail is China Glaze: Pool Party with Color Club: Wing Fling. Orange nail is China Glaze: Orange Knockout with Color Club: Sparkle and Soar. Yellow nail is Nina Ultra Pro: Solar Flare with Color Club: Daisy Does It. Green nail is China Glaze: I'm With the Life Guard and Color Club: Fly With Me. Blue nail is Studio M: Total Wow and Color Club: Sky High. To add more sparkle I top coated with Northern Lights.
Now for the design aspect I used the black stripping tape I bought from bornprettystore. I have used taped before with my past designs so when I tried this kind out it wasn't to difficult to use. It stuck to my nails very well so the polish didn't seep under, the only thing I wish this tape came with was a dispenser of some sort to make it easier to cut the pieces.
I taped off the star than using Sinful Colors: Black on Black I went over the entire nail. To remove the tape I found it helpful to use tweezers. Top coat of Out the Door to finish my mani off :) I can't wait to come up with more designs using this stripping tape, I have a feeling I will go thru it in no time!!
Hope you love this one as much as me!

Pink Puzzle Mani

The idea for this mani came from The Nailasaurus, my attempt is defiantly not as great as hers. Maybe when I get some good nail art brushes my result will be more similar :)
The colors I used were China Glaze: Pool Party, Mediterranean Charm, Color Club: Wing Fling, and Essie: Cute as a Button. To draw the white lines I used Art Club Duo Brush, White. To fill in the puzzle pieces I used Manicure Sticks and dipped them in the polish.
My lines aren't the neatest since the brush I used was long and hard to control. I loved how hers turned out, maybe ill give it a try again someday. Also the colors did not photograph well at all, but what can you aspect with pink...

Tribal Nail Art

So I mentioned that I wanted to do a design over the amazing purple by China Glaze. I attempted doing the straw mani design but didn't work so I wanted to do random design and guess it is considered tribal art.
To do I used some silver sparkle and my Art Club Duo Nail Art White brush and pen.
Wouldn't say its my best attempt but I did get a lot of compliments on it :)

Flying Dragon

This color is going to be my summer go to color. Its bright but not overly, and still looks presentable.
Two coats of China Glaze: Flying Dragon was perfect and Out the Door top coat.
I like how there are small specs of blue and pink but isn't to noticeable. I am excited to work with this color and hopefully come up with a nail art design.

Neon Marble

Back to nail art instead of plain one color nails :) I have been wanting to do a neon water marble for awhile and when I heard China Glaze was introducing neon collection for this summer I couldn't wait till my Sally Store carried them. Sadly most of them were taken by the time I got they so here is the two I was able to snag.
Started with Wet n Wild: French White Creme. Used China Glaze: I'm With the Lifeguard and Beach Cruise-r. Top coat of Out the Door.
These colors are awesomely bright. I can't wait to use I'm With the Lifeguard in other nail designs this summer. Hopefully I'll be able to get some more of the new Neon's later this month also.

Wet n Wild Chrome

Today I have a swatch of the Limited Edition from Wet n Wild called Chrome. This collection is metallic  and they come in an 8.5ml bottle which is kinda small for 3.99 ea. so I grabbed a purple one to try it out.
This picture is in the sun obviously, I figured this is the best way to show off metallics. Application was very simple and only required two coats, which is good considering how small the bottles are. The name of this one is Hog-Quartz School, yes it reminds me of Hogwarts also, not sure if there was a reason to this. All in all I think just having one of these before they stop being sold is good enough. Go pick out your favorite color!

Sunshine Yellow

In honor of the beautiful sun we have been getting in Michigan I wanted to create my brightest yellow nail color. Of course the picture doesn't do it justice but here is a response I got from a customer at work while wearing it. "Holy sunshine fingernails" :) Hence the name Sunshine Yellow.
Start with a white base coat Wet n Wild: French Whit Creme. This is the key when doing any neon color. Next was Nina Ultra Pro: Solar Flare, and to add some shine I used Color Club: Daisy Does it. Top coat of Out the Door.
I ended up wearing this color longer than I expected but thats cause I wanted to figure out a design to incorporate it, sadly I never did.
Any ideas?

Color Club Gradient Part 2

Here is the second gradient that I told you I was going to do with the Color Club Take Wing Collection. I still love how these colors sparkle and the brightness of them.
I Started with two coats of Daisy Does It, than I worked in the next color Sparkle and Soar. To add the pink, Wing Fling, I used the make up sponge since it was going on to heavy when doing it by hand. Top coat of Out the Door.
I added a cheetah stamp to this one since I wasn't a huge fan of pink, but that's just my color preference.
Altogether I love this collection and I hope everyone is able to get at least one of these great colors.

Color Club Gradient Part 1

When I got the full Take Wing Collection by Color Club I instantly group the 6 into 2 groups of colors that go well together. I decided I will gradient the 2 groups so here is my first gradient of the 2.
To start 2 coats of Fly With Me. To gradient I did so by hand and the next color was Metamorphosis, ended with Sky High. Top coat was Out the Door.
The colors in this collection are amazing, I keep trying to find new designs to go with them. I know alot of bloggers are using the make up sponges to do gradients I personally feel like it wastes a lot of the nail polish so for now I prefer doing it by hand.
