Joyful Noise Cosmetics Swatches

I recently bought a grab bag from Joyful Noise Cosmetics on Etsy and got 7 mini polishes. I got a great variety of colors which I love, helps extend my collection :) I have swatched the first three that stood out to me, check them out below.

First up is my favorite, Playful Pisces. Two coats and top coat of Out the Door. This color reminds me of Lipmann's Mermaid Dream just not the glitter. Gorgeous gold shimmer :)

Next is Catch that Snitch, two coats with top coat of Out the Door. This is really not just white I couldn't get a shot that showed the silver shimmer so check out the bottle shot below...

Lastly a super bright yellow! Build me up Buttercup two coats with top coat of Out the Door.

What I love about these polishes is that they aren't just glitter bombs like most indies. These are tinted color polishes. They all had great formula and love how unique each color is. I honestly don't have any colors that are close to these :D

If you want to buy a grab bag check her out at this link. $20 free shipping and you choose between 6-7 minis or 3-4 with one full size, you also get some nail art items with that. The colors I have shown are disco at the moment, with Catch that Snitch coming back eventually and you can try to request her to bring back Build me up Buttercup!!

Glequin Gradient

OMG today's nails will not disappoint you if you love gradients and sparkles!! I have been trying to think out of the box and come up with something new. I was staring at my container of glequins and decided I need to use more of them. When I saw how many awesome color combinations I could do I thought of making a gradient with them, and came up with this.

The colors for the gradient are Sally Hansen: Silver Sweep, Kleancolor: Metallic Aqua , piCture pOlish: Bomb Shell, and top coat of Out the Door

Isn't it just gorgeous!!!! I originally only did my ring finger in the glequins but I decided to add the middle finger (after my sisters approval) she wanted me to include her in this post. Than I almost did all my nails covered in glequins cause it's so sparkly!! I see this design reappearing alot :D

Twenty Seven Polish: Pride, Swatch (Pic Heavy)

I have a quick indie glitter swatch today. I bought this polish a long time ago it seems and never knew what color to pair it with since its so vibrant! When I got my Lime Crimes I decided to go with the lime green, check it out below :)

My base color is Lime Crime: Pastelchio with one coat of Pride, top coat of Out the Door.

Awesome glitter shapes and colors!
I love the label!
This is a super fun glitter top coat. Its a rainbow in a bottle! I used the dabbing technique to apply the glitters. If you don't have a glitter like this I suggest you buy this one!

Metalic Neutral Gradient

I have gotten back into doing gradients lately, and was digging thru my stash to find some different colors to do one with. I ended up choosing a few neutral metallic's and love how it turned out!

I used Essie: Good as Gold, Penny Talk, Zoya: Codie, and top coat of Out the Door

Isn't she a beauty? I just love gradients!! The metallic in the Essie's really makes this gradient pop! I forgot about doing gradients with metallic's, my last one was sooo long ago, you can check it out here. Hope you enjoy today's mani!

Layla Softouch 03 Swatch

Along with picking up some Liquid Sand polishes I peeked around the corner and saw these Layla Softouch and Ceramic polishes! Surprisingly I have only seen one blog with a swatch or two of these polishes over at Neverland Nail Blog. When Layla announced these collections I was excited about the Softouch Effects more than the Ceramic Effects, so I grabbed one that caught my eye.

This is two coats of Softouch Effect 03, no top coat.

Macro!
Wow the effect of this polish is awesome, it is defiantly not a matte finish AT ALL! It is so soft to the touch (O softouch!) and has the slightest texture nothing close to liquid sand. Also boy was I shocked on how opaque this color turned out. I think I just may have to grab another one or two soon!!

Blue Pastel Skittle Mani

Today I have attempted a nail art skittle mani. I really love skittle mani's since you can incorporate more than one nail art and somehow it looks matchy. My sister is a huge fan of this type of mani she has so many pins on pinterest of skittle mani's. I decided to give it a try and this is what I came up with.
The colors I used are Lime Crime: Milky Ways, Sally Hansen: Silver Sweep, Zoya: Kristen and Electra, Northern Lights and also some Silver Glequins

I am unsure if it all goes together or if this is a skittle fail. I do really like the color combinations and I love each type of nail art. Do you think this is a good collaboration or not?

Liquid Sand and Some Stamping!! (Pic Heavy)

Here I am jumping on the bandwagon of liquid sand. At first when I saw the swatches of these I wasn't completely wowed and didn't even think i'd purchase any. Of course that next week I got an Ulta coupon and I can't pass up a coupon for polish! I ended up with two and today I am showing you Get Your Number.

Here is my swatch two coats of OPI: Get Your Number, no top coat.
Macro :)
I than added stamping using Sally Hansen: Silver Sweep on plate CH5.

Than I added top coat of Seche Vite shown below.

Overall I LOVE this polish!! I really can't stop observing the texture and how the sparkle peaks thru. I am not sure why I wasn't that into it, but o boy you need to get one of these to add to your stash. Now that I see how amazing the liquid sand is I might have to try out Zoya Pixie Dust!!

My Nail Polish Stash/Setup Update

Well it has been a long time since I have posted about my Nail Polish Stash, my last post was in June if you want to see that post check here. I defiantly got a lot more polish and a very different setup going on now. Check out the pics below.

This is pretty much the complete set up. I have two Melmers stacked with my light box on top, here is a tutorial for how to make one. To the left is an end table that I use to do my nails on top, and that's my bed lower right that I sit on while I do my nails. I have a nail polish rack that you see on the wall, currently holds holos and some liquid sands. On the floor is an easy carrying container that I have all my nail art supplies in.

Here you can see close ups of the nail polish rack and my decorated Melmers :) I just recently made the nail polish rack and used this tutorial but only made it half the size. Also I decorated the Melmers last week Rebecca from Rebecca likes nail has a nice tutorial for how to do this if you interested link here. You can pretty much make any design with scrap booking paper!

I am really loving this setup, I have everything I need in one spot and its so organized. O also have you seen so much purple in one spot before,  just imagine what my whole room looks like :D Well I hope you enjoyed this quick update, when June comes this year I will update with my nail polish count!!

Simple Elegant Mani

Today I wanted to share with you my mani I wore to a friends wedding last weekend. I wore a pretty simple dress so I stayed simple with my mani as well. My dress was a dusty rose lace top with black skirted bottom.

Base color is Zoya: Kennedy, used NYC: Sidewalkers, and Konad Special black on plate BM-3137, with Northern Lights top coat.

Surprisingly I was totally obsessed with this mani, I really love the tiny bows! The colors went perfect with my dress and the wedding was beautiful!

Across the Universe!! (Pic Heavy)

SOOO excited for today's post, for one I have my first Enchanted Polish and secondly NEW CAMERA!! It was an early birthday present and I couldn't be any more excited to get some better quality pics for you to droll over :)

I started with two coats of China Glaze: VIII, than one coat of Enchanted Polish: Across the Universe with top coat of Out the Door.

AMAZING MACRO!!
Check out the purple to blue color shift :)

I DIE whenever this color shifts to view!
So I really love the sparkle you see, it isn't really a good pic, but look at all those colors!!! DANG!
This color is GORGEOUS, blue and purple with hologram sparkles. Also the formula is amazing applies so flawless. I don't think I'll ever take this polish off!! Hopefully I'll be able to snag another Enchanted Polish someday! Make sure to visit Llawore and subscribe to find out about restock's and such.

Zoya Natty With Hologram Stamping

I took advantage of Zoya's sale for 3 polishes only $10!! Today I am sharing one of the beauties that I choose, Natty. It's the most gorgeous smokey deep blue creme I have ever seen.

For my swatch I have two coats, you could totally get away with one thicker coat tho.

I than choose to stamp with Color Club: Angel Kiss on plate CH14.

Stamping with Color Club Halo Hues is just brilliant, you can still see the hologram :) Have you tried to stamp with them yet?

Fishtail Mani

Hi all! Lately I have been trying to go thru all my untried colors and today I have a few Zoya's. I also wanted to keep with my theme of trying new nail art so I decided to do a 'fishtail' mani. Now this can be confused with chevron, but that is more like straight V's this fishtail has some curve to it.

I used three Zoya's: Kennedy, Tru, and Monica, with top coat of Out the Door.

My ring finger is probably the worse, I don't know why but I couldn't perfect that one (tried twice). I do like this design it was quite simple to. I have one more new design to try and I am super excited for it, make sure to stay tuned in! :)

Pink Butterfly Mani

This must be the week of trying new nail designs, today I have my first try at butterfly nails. I think I put off this design because I thought it was going to be so hard, but it actually is easy if you have stripper brush and dotting tools.

My gradient is with China Glaze: Surreal Appeal and Color Club: Halo-Graphic. I used my Nail Art Duo Pen's in Black and White for the details finishing with top coat of Out the Door.

I REALLY love this mani, the design is so bold! This design gets easier as you do each nail so don't give up if you attempt it!!

Hologram Puzzle

I have a fun design that I have been wanting do for awhile now.  It is actually a lot easier to do than it looks, I don't have the link to the tutorial I just remember seeing it so sorry about that.

Color Club: Cloud Nine and Orly: Minds Eye with top coat of Out the Door.

I actually attempted a puzzle mani a long time ago, if you want a good laugh check it out here :D I am pretty sure I will be doing more of this design also, I can just imagine all the color possibilities!!!

CG Tranzitions With MANY Top Coats

Today I have one of the new China Glaze Tranzitions. After seeing so many swatches lately I wasn't sure if I would buy any of these, but I was in Sally's saw them and had to take at least one ;) I also was very curious about what top coats could change the color of these and surprisingly I haven't heard much about if you have to use the China Glaze Top Coat or not. I decided not to buy the top coat and try out mine along with some fun top coats, check out the swatches below...

Here is one coat of China Glaze Tranzitions: Split Perso-nail-ity and I used my beloved Out the Door Top coat for this design, but I also tried out Seche Vite on my thumb and got the same result.

Here I have 4 different top coats two glitters and two special effects.  I have a bottle shot for each of the top coats so you can see how they have a more clear base which makes you still be able to see the color change.
From left to right we have Color Club: Snowflakes, Pretty Polish: Spectraflair Top Coat (Hologram), 365 Days of Color: Old Time and Nicole by OPI: Opal Texture (Crackle).

WOW I can not believe how awesome this polish is. I mean the concept to use just a regular top coat to change color neat but than you can add effect and sparkle top coats and still change the color, awesome!  Also this polish applies sooo easily and was a true one coater. If you are like me and thought about passing these up I would suggest you at least get one :)

Flowers and Stripes

I am super psyched to share my nails with you all today! I have been wanting to try out floral nails for a while and finally worked up the courage to give it a shot :) I also found this tutorial that made it look so easy to accomplish, and it was.
My base coat is Lime Crime: Milky Way  I used Lime Crime: Lavendairy, Nicole by OPI: Khloe had alittle Lam Lam and Nail Art Duo Pen in Black and White for floral and stripes nails, finishing with top coat of Out the Door.
Ahhh it's so cute and dainty! I for see many more floral designs in my near future :)
Have you tried out floral nails yet? If not give it a try and let me know how they turn out!!!

CrowsToes: Merope, Swatched

First post of the New Year!! I am also excited to announce that I now have a light box, so my pictures will hopefully turn out better :) I have a swatch of a new brand to me, CrowsToes, I made the mistake of checking out Llarowe website and made a few purchases recently :S I am pretty sure it's impossible to leave her site without buying any polish so beware! ;)
Two coats of CrowsToes: Merope with top coat of Out the Door.
This was a difficult polish to capture the color. It shifts from a purple to blue with a grey base. It really is lovely in person, very happy to have this polish.
