Spring Skittle Mani

 photo me_zps76cb00ed.png

Friday before Easter and I got the cutest spring mani for you to celebrate it with. My inspiration for these colors came upon my recent shopping trip for an Easter outfit.  Coral and mint green are all over the spring styles. I could not find any new shirts in a different color, and frankly I am in love! Here is my take on coral and mint green collaboration.

piCture pOlish: Honey Dew and Coral Reef
butter LONDON: West End Wonderland and Matte Effect
Art Club Nail Art Duo: Black and White
Lime Crime: Milky Way
Color Club: Cherubic

This is my favorite skittle mani to date! I also decided that the best glitter nail is with a hologram base coat, it really gives the glitter alot more depth. Have you yet to see these color combinations in  stores or even on your own nails? Hope everyone has a great weekend and I'll have a quick Easter nail post for you on Sunday!!

I am super psyched to share my nails with you all today! I have been wanting to try out floral nails for a while and finally worked up the courage to give it a shot :) I also found this tutorial that made it look so easy to accomplish, and it was.
My base coat is Lime Crime: Milky Way  I used Lime Crime: Lavendairy, Nicole by OPI: Khloe had alittle Lam Lam and Nail Art Duo Pen in Black and White for floral and stripes nails, finishing with top coat of Out the Door.
Ahhh it's so cute and dainty! I for see many more floral designs in my near future :)

Flowers in the Indian Ocean

Back to our regualr scheduled program :) Although I still have a head cold I managed to do my nails today, and check out my new nubs. I actually did these cause I was getting sick with the length of my nails, always fun to try something new!
I have a gorgeous duochrome/glass flaky polish for you today! It was super hard to photograph you will have to trust me when I say it is out of this world! When the light hits this polish it radiates a pink shimmer with the light blue base. It is a very sheer polish that probably looks good over many different colors.
Shown above is three coats of Models' Own: Indian Ocean top coat of Out the Door. Than I added stamping with Color Club: Take me to Your Chateau, stamping plate BM-306.
This is such a cute mani! The pink shows thru and the light blue blends in with the light blue base of Idian Ocean. My pictures really don't give this polish justice, you know a polish is beautfiul when you can't capture it on camera :)

Mani for my Sister

Today's mani was inspired by a picture on pinterest. I bookmark nails that I someday want to do and went thru those to help my sister decide on her mani. Right when I showed her this one she immediately wanted it! We changed the design a little by adding accent nails with a different color, and I think it made it turn out great. Sorry for the blurriness of the picture, I forgot to snap a good one before I left.
I also don't remember every color we used, I know most of them where China Glaze. To achieve this look I used a paint brush to draw on the 'petals' I am not sure how they were done in the original picture. I like how her lines are smoother but at the same time I think mine makes it look like watercolor painting. I may end up doing this mani again cause I loved the turn out!!

Hex Flowers, Mosaic Accent

I give you my first attempt with applying hex glitters. I am using this mani for an entry into BornPretty June Contest. Flowers was one of the categories we could choose from to use in our nail art. I think my ring finger looks like a mosaic tile, and decided to just do the tips to off play the entire nail.
To do this mani I started out with two coats of China Glaze: White on White. To apply the hex glitters I used Studio M: Stuck On You. Than two top coats of Out the Door to make sure I wouldn't loose any of my glitters :)
Look at how it shines in the sun! It's alittle harder to see the flowers with all the shine but I still LOVE this mani. I hope everyone loves this mani as much as I do.
