Hologram with Geometric Accents

 photo me_zps76cb00ed.png

Well today is a sad day, not only cause its only Tuesday but Michigan lost last night in the championship game :( But not to worry I have a pretty sweet mani to cheer us all up.

Color Club: Cherubic and Take me to Your Chateau
Essie: Penny Talk

If you haven't noticed I have been in a stamping marathon lately. I got the Pueen plates for Easter and also received my Winstonia set so I have been all over the awesome designs. For this mani I was trying to think out of the box for a cute color combo and came up with copper and light blue. I also noticed that Cherubic is a copper hologram so I just had to include it! Do you like this color combo?

31 DC, Day 10: Geometric

Today's theme for the 31 Day Challenge is Geometric. I did a pretty easy mani for this theme because I love all the geometric design that my stamping plates have and wanted to use one of my untried designs.

Revlon: Blue Slate
Color Club: Blue Heaven

I just had to use a hologram to stamp with also it makes stamping designs just that much more intricate :) Can't wait to see what the others have done, check out below!

Zoya Natty With Hologram Stamping

I took advantage of Zoya's sale for 3 polishes only $10!! Today I am sharing one of the beauties that I choose, Natty. It's the most gorgeous smokey deep blue creme I have ever seen.

For my swatch I have two coats, you could totally get away with one thicker coat tho.

I than choose to stamp with Color Club: Angel Kiss on plate CH14.

Stamping with Color Club Halo Hues is just brilliant, you can still see the hologram :) Have you tried to stamp with them yet?

Holographic Holidays: Sweet Treats

Today is my last day for Holographic Holidays challenge, you can still join in for tomorrow's tho if you want! Today's them is Sweet Treats, and what is more sweet than Candy Canes during christmas time? Nothing!
I started with a base coat of China Glaze: White on White and added two coats of Spectraflair top coat. I stamped with China Glaze: Merry Berry and Nicole by OPI: Khloe had a Little Lam Lam on plate HD10.
The white hologram was hard to capture but look how glorious it is! I love using single stamps and making them into my own full nail stamp, espically this one with differnt colors :)
Check back later to see what the other ladies did for Sweet Treat theme.

Holographic Holidays: Christmas Song

Yay for Holographic Holiday Challenge! This challenge was thought of by Neverland Nail Blog and Nailed It, it will be 5 days this week Dec. 17-21. First theme is Christmas Songs, and I choose Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Yes I did that theme for the HHJC, but I actually did this mani the day before I heard of this challenge and had to incorporate it somehow :)
Two coats of Color Club: Harp on It, using Konad special white I stamped snowflakes with plate BM-323 and added glequins, top coat of Out the Door.
Of course extra picture for us to drool over :)
Wow Color Club really over did themselves with this hologram polish! I only have one other haven't tried yet but can already tell it wont disappoint! If you don't have any hologram polishes you need to splurge and buy ATLEAST one of these. I am obessed with this mani, I wish it could have stayed on for more than a day :( Check out what other holographic holiday designs you will see this week!
To join in check Neveland Nail Blog or Nailed It for inlinkz code. For now check out the amazing designs of these other ladies below!

Holo Gradient

I recently bought Spectraflair top coat off of etsy from Pretty Polish, and have been wanting to do a fun design with it. I decided upon doing a gradient since it has also been awhile since I have done one. This is also my first time using three colors for a gradient rather than two.
Colors I used were, Zoya: Kendal, OPI: Pamplona Pink, Orly: Plum Noir, Spectraflair Top Coat.
Macro shot of the holo greatness!

Here is a picture also of just the gradient alone, which is gorgeous also!
Wow I love this mani! The holoness is amazing, and the colors are gorgeous. I think I am going to like the spectraflair topcoat alot. It is the cheapest holo top coat that also comes in a 15mL bottle rather than smaller bottles like Glitter Gal and Hits.

Holo Blue, Kleancolor

I mentioned that I wondered how the Kleancolor Holo's would look over a base color, so this post is an example of how the Holo Blue looks.
The base color I used was Kleancolor: Metallic Aqua, this was another one of my new colors. I was able to get away with one coat of Holo Blue since I used a base coat. Out the Door Top Coat.
It defiantly shines ALOT more having start with a metallic color as base. I think that the rest of my holos would also look good over the corresponding color from the metallic collection of Kleancolor.
Do you prefer these colors over a base also? or just 3 coats on their own?

Hits, Dionisio

I hope everyone had a fantastic 4th of July! We have had a heat wave in Michigan past 3 days so I fugred perfect chance to do a holo. Wahoo my first Hits! Of course I choose a dark purple holo! We all know my love for purple, and boy does this suit me :)
Was three coats, which is usual for holos. Top coat of Out the Door didn't effect the holo either.
This is a linear holo as you can see in the picture, all in all a great polish to add to my holo collection.
Hope you enjoyed this small but amazing post.

My Sister's 4th of July Mani

I wasn't expecting to have another post for you today but my sister surprised me yesterday and wanted me to do a red, white, and blue mani. I wanted to share with you what we came up with.
A quick description of the nails, thumb and ring finger have horizontal red white and blue than stamped on a peace sign. The red was a China Glaze with Glitter Gal Holographic top coat. White was a transfer foil called Silver Dots, and the blue base coat was a China Glaze than topped with Kleancolor Glitter I received in the nail mail saturday.
I liked how this turned out alot! I got to use alot of my new polishes and practice the foiling again. I wanted to make it really blingy for her to show her friends. I can't wait to hear what kind of compliments she got.
Enjoy this beautiful day!

Stamping over Kleancolor Skittle

So I stamped over my mani from yesterday. Please ignore the sloppiness of the pinky stamping. I used plate BM-201. Konad special Black and White polish. I had to do white over the blue since black would of been to dark. I love how the sparkle shows thru. These colors will be fun to play with this summer, and capture all the sparkle.

Polish  Wars blog is having a giveaway, check it out here ends 7/9/12

Kleancolor Holo Skittle

If you saw my post late last night you know that I got my polishes in the mail, and I mentioned doing a Skittle Mani. I am most excited about the holos that I got so I wanted to start with them.
Each nail took three coats, the formula was expected of a holo just had a longer drying period. Mine don't look so much as linear holo more scattered, which is different from photos I saw online.
Color names are not to complicated there is Holo Green, Holo Orange, Holo Pink, Holo Blue and Holo Chrome. Top coat of Out the Door.
Captured the sparkle!
To me the chrome is a dark blue and it is probably my favorite of them all. I think lighter colors don't look that great as Holos. They also have a Holo Yellow I choose not to buy tho. My next idea for these is to start with a base coat that is similar so that it may only require one or two coats, and also how it looks over black and white.
For only 1.75 ea. I think they are great colors to have, cheaper way to get holos that for sure. The link is posted on the right side of my blog of where you can buy them, check out the Beauty Joint!
Which one is your favorite?

Zebra Hologram

I decided to play with my hologram mani from yesterday, wasn't ready to just remove the beauty. This design is totally Rock N Roll!
I first tapped off the diagonal to do the zebra stamp onto the tip, than I taped it off again to do the black bottoms with Sinful Colors: Black on Black. This was very simple, I like how I was able to incorporate my old mani into this one. It makes it alot easier since you don't need to wait for your base color to dry.
Do you dig the rock n roll?

I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS POST! I have wanted a hologram for months, kept debating about just buying one online and so glad that I didn't have to resort to it. Everyone needs atleast one hologram in their nail polish stash! This one was $15.50 and the bottle is smaller than regular bottles but it is SO worth it!
For a base coat I used Sally Hansen: Silver Sweep, than 3 coats of Layla Hologram Effect: Mercury Twilight. Top coat Out the Door. I could have pasted with using 2 coats but I went all out :D.
How do you feel about Holograms? To expensive, not worth it?

Blue Patchwork

I have been looking for a light blue that only takes one coat to cover, and I am proud to say I have found one! Another Studio M polish, sorry for the continuous brand use but for 2.99 a bottle I'm sold.
Start off with the Studio M: Whose That Girl, than I choose certain patches to tape off to paint my second color with Sally Girl Mini's: White, and my last color was Revlon Colorstay: Blue Slate. For my top coat I chose to add some sparkle and used Northern Lights a Hologram Top Coat.
This is another style to do patchwork in, instead of four squares, I love these colors together, a gradient would be neat with maybe another blue in between.
How do you feel about it?
