Rainy Nails, Jamberry Accent

 photo me_zps76cb00ed.png photo button_zpsc89bd61d.png

Happy Friday lovelies, I hope everyone had a wonderful short work week! Today my nails are for the weekend weather. Here in Michigan we are suppose to have more thunder storms, this week we have had lots of rain and even tornado's. Since I received an umbrella Jamberry Nail Shield design I thought it would be perfect to wear for the weekend.

L'oreal: After Hours
Zoya: Bevin
NYC: Orange Traffic Jam
China Glaze: VII
BM-312 and W113
Jamberry Nail Shield: Middle Finger

This mani makes me so excited for if it rains, my nails will match the weather :D I should of took a picture of the sides of my nails for this shield since I finally got a size that fit perfectly! I think since my nails curve more I had to choose a size that looked to large.

I received these wraps from nail consultant Shea Caithaml, here is a link to preview designs and order the nail shields on her webpage. There are 250 designs to choose from and they have a great deal buy 3 you get 1 free!!!  Also for questions or to order you can e-mail her at sheabrenegan@me.com.
Hope you enjoy your weekend!

P.S. I have a giveaway starting Monday!!

Accent Orange Damask, Jamberry Nails

  photo button_zpsc89bd61d.png photo me_zps76cb00ed.png

It's Friday lovelies, plus it's Memorial Weekend which means 3 days off!  I know I just had 5 days off but I am ready for some more :D If you remember last week I reviewed one of the Jamberry Nail Shields I received and today I have another to share. When I received the shields I immediately loved the orange damask pattern and am obsessed with the mani I came up with!

Zoya: Cho
NYC: Orange Traffic Jam
Jamberry Nail Shield: Ring Finger

My second time around using these nail shields I did better with not having any air bubbles. I still had some gap on both sides of my nails, so I may not have the correct sizes. I still love the concepts of this product, especially for a fun accent nail. To check out a full review with how to apply these view this post.

Jamberry Nail Shields, Custom Designs!

Hello Lovelies, I wanted to quickly share with you some more info about Jamberry Nail Shields that I was recently informed. I was chatting with Shea and she told me about how you can customize your own nail shields! I really thought this was a great feature for nail wraps. Here is a quick example Shea shared with me of a set she made for herself.

Here are the two pictures she used to create the above set.

Isn't this a sweet idea! Ok so right away I imagine how I could do pictures of family, friends, pets, places you visit, etc. As long as you own the rights to the picture you can make it into nail wraps! I know we are all very creative so I am sure you could think of something awesome.

The software to do this also seems very user friendly, to do this yourself visit this webpage. Make sure you read the FAQ to get a better idea of images that are accepted and it is very informative. Let me know if you give this a try, I would love to see your design!!

Jamberry Nail Review/ New York Vacation Nails

 photo me_zps76cb00ed.png photo button_zpsc89bd61d.png

Today I am overly excited for two reasons, I have some Jamberry Nail Shields for a review and I am leaving for New York tonight at 9!!! We are going to drive thru the night and shall arrive at our hotel 9am tomorrow, I will be back in Michigan Tuesday the 21st. Although it will be a quick vacation I am still super excited. I mentioned this vacation last post and just a reminder I have guest post lined up till Wednesday.

Back to nails, first I will show you my finished product with the Jamberry Shields and after mani pics I have my review. Below you can see the five different designs I received, I choose just one of the five for an accent nail.

I do love all these designs and already have ideas for a couple more of them. I choose to use one of these with this mani because I want to test out the wear of them. They are suppose to last up to two weeks, so after five days I will have a better understanding how well this product works.

Sally Hansen: S-teal a Base
Lime Crime: Lavendairy
Zoya: Thandie
Jamberry Nail Shield: Middle Finger

Well let's just say I totally love this whole mani, the color combination is one I would of never thought of if it wasn't for the multi chevron pattern. Also want to mention the Sally Hansen: S-teal a Base is the most gorgeous turquoise colour I have ever seen, can you see the gorgeous shimmer! Now for my review of the Jamberry Nail Shields.

First step is to choose the size that fits your nail best, remove all polish and oils around the nail. Then you peel them off the plastic and you warm them with a blow dryer for 10-15 seconds to break the glue. Start at the base and apply pressure to adhere it to the nail. Trim close to the nail and file with a downward motion to remove the excess. Since these are curved at both ends you can get two nails out of one, unless you have massively long nails, for my length I would say there was a good 1/4in leftover.

Here is a close up of the two nails I used the Jamberry Nail Shields on. Left picture is left hand and right picture is right hand. You can see on my right hand I got it to apply perfectly, this is most likely because I am left handed and it is much easier for me to work on my right hand. The left hand is not terribly bad at all, I have a little gather of the shield on the tip and air bubble on the left side. Although I have those defects I have not noticed it catching on objects or making the sticker uplift.

Here is my right hand pictured from both sides of the nail. You can see that this shield was perfect fit for my cuticle but on the sides it didn't cover my entire nail. This is simply because everyone has different nail shapes, it is hard to get the perfect match with any nail wrap (my opinion). Personally this also doesn't bother me, from arm width away you can't see it and it also makes my nail look shaped better :) In the end this process was very easy to achieve this look and I have high hopes with the tip wear so I hope I won't be dissapointed.

Well Ladies this is farwell till next Thursday, I will most likely still be checking in on Facebook and post some pics of the polish stores I visit there. I will have e-mail access so I will still be around if needed :) Enjoy the guest posts, there are some awesome mani's to see!!
