Metallic Rainbow Ruffian

 photo me_zps76cb00ed.png

Happy Monday! I hope each of you had a wonderful weekend and are ready for a new work week. I wasn't in a polishing mood this weekend so I did a simple mani for today. I have seen this technique a couple times and decided to give it a try.

 Sally Hansen: Silver Sweep
Models Own: Mystic Mauve

I call this a rainbow ruffian since to me it looks like a rainbow and all you do is continue the ruffian technique. This also looks pretty psychedelic, I can imagine using neons for this summer! Have you tried this 'rainbow ruffian' style yet?

Birthday Nails!! *Contest Winner*

Happy Birthday to me!! The lovely age 22, where birthday's become pointless no more milestones :( O well I still enjoy a day of receiving presents and love from all!! Many of you know I hosted a nail art contest, and had some great entries! First off I wanted to thank everyone who entered, you all got my style right on and made it hard to choose the winner!  When it came down to it my panel and I decided the one with some cupcakes just seemed perfect! Ashley Pashley! (is this your real name? hilarious) you have won! Check out her nails here. My nails inspired by her design is below!

I used OPI: Gift Cards for Everyone, Models Own: Gold Finger, Sally Girl: White, Pretty Polish: Hard Candy, and purple glitter with top coat of Out the Door.

I think the design is soo cute, like my fingers are dripping with frosting! The cupcake doesn't look that great on small nails :( Make sure you check her's out tho it's really cute! Thank you Ashley and you have 48 hours to respond to my e-mail!!

Polish Days-Bling!

Yay for another Polish Days Event!! I am very excited for this theme, its BLING!! Which to me means gather all your sparkle and somehow make them all work together :) Check out what I came up with!

Here is an extra picture in the shade I thought it looked cool, you can also see the heart on the middle finger alittle better.
I started with Essie: Good as Gold on all nails, starting with the pinky I added gold glequins, gold laser lace on ring finger, butter LONDON: West End Wonderland for the heart and lastly Model's Own: Gold Finger with top coat of Out the Door on all nails.
Ahh this was so much fun, I think i'll be doing more crazy bling mani's soon. :)

Check out all the faboulous bling below!!

Antique vs. Mystic Mauve

Today I have my first color comparison post! I have debated on doing a post like this not sure how many people like or dislike these kinds of post. For my two colors I have piCture pOlish: Antique and Models Own: Mystic Mauve.
Bottle Shots!

So from the bottle shot you can sort of tell alittle difference, but you can see how they also look similiar right? I hope it's not just me ;) So how do they look on the nails you ask? Check out below!
This is with one coat of each color and easy application on both. Now for the differences you can see antique is more of a glitter while Mystic Mauve is like a metalic/glass fleck finish. Also antique is a darker pink tone while Mystic Mauve is very pink. But were you able to tell that from the bottle shot?!? I know I thought the colors were going to be alot more similiar than they are.
Do you like comparison post? Please let me know cause I can either do more or not, up to you my readers :)

Flowers in the Indian Ocean

Back to our regualr scheduled program :) Although I still have a head cold I managed to do my nails today, and check out my new nubs. I actually did these cause I was getting sick with the length of my nails, always fun to try something new!
I have a gorgeous duochrome/glass flaky polish for you today! It was super hard to photograph you will have to trust me when I say it is out of this world! When the light hits this polish it radiates a pink shimmer with the light blue base. It is a very sheer polish that probably looks good over many different colors.
Shown above is three coats of Models' Own: Indian Ocean top coat of Out the Door. Than I added stamping with Color Club: Take me to Your Chateau, stamping plate BM-306.
This is such a cute mani! The pink shows thru and the light blue blends in with the light blue base of Idian Ocean. My pictures really don't give this polish justice, you know a polish is beautfiul when you can't capture it on camera :)

Models Own, Swatch and Nail Art

Wahoo today I am showing you my first Models' Own polishes!! Couple months ago they had a sale for half off and figured I should grab some. I got five polishes and today I am showing you two, so far they are my favorites :)
First up is my swatch of Pinky Brown Beetle Juice. Shown is two coats with top coat of Out the Door. Great formula and brush was easy to use.
I than used Mystic Mauve and created a gradient of dots starting at the base of the nail. Using large dotting tool first and moving to smaller as I reach the tip of the nail.
These colors are sooo shiny! I love deep burgundys and that is what Pinky Brown is. Also excited to use Mystic Mauve with other purples :)
Do you own any Models' Own? Which is your favorite?
