Color of the Year

~nothing to disclose~

Good Morning my lovelies! I am officially back at painting my nails this week. I took about 2 weeks off just cause I had no motivation and a few nail breaks. Now I am back with how I wore Pantones color of the year: Radiant Orchid.

nina ultra pro radiant orchid polka dots essie peak of chic plum to the earth sinful colors glitter accent nail color of the year pantone

Nina Pro: Plum To the Earth
Essie: Peak of Chic
Sinful Colors: White on White

Eventho I am just now wearing this color, it is by far one of my gems.  Also you probably can tell the change in lighting from my last mani, I finally have an OTT light! This is much closer to my actual skin color, and hopefully will help to get more color accurate photos in the future :D

Nail Painting Weekend with the Boyfriend

Hello lovelies! Since I didn't get a post edited for today (crazy morning) I thought I would post about my recently uploaded Youtube Video. Wait, did you know that I have a youtube channel now?!?! If not, check it out here.

To explain the video lets start from the top! My boyfriend has a youtube channel, where he does vlogs and skits. He is going to school for broadcasting and video production which is why he enjoys youtube. I thought about doing this collaboration when him and his sister were joking about him doing his nails, since she recently joined in on the fun of nail art.

Last weekend we made a two part video for both of our channels. His channel shows me teaching him each nail art style on HIS nails and mine shows HIM painting the same mani on my nails!! I can't even tell you how much fun it was to do this, you will have many laughs at his attempt and maybe learn some simple nail art styles from me teaching him :D

First watch his video learning how to do the nail art.

Now watch his attempt!

I had so much fun doing this, it still makes me laugh when I re watch them. I was proud of my boyfriend and I think he has lots of potential ;) Although these nails didn't last more than 10min on each of us it was totally worth it.
Have you ever had a guy try to paint your nails?

Nails from Camping Trip

 photo me_zps76cb00ed.png

Happy Monday lovelies, I hope everyone had a great weekend. My weekend was filled with camping and doing nails. Every year my family along with five other families go camping for a week, I went up for the weekend and did about 20 set of nails, including some men! Today I wanted to share the mani that I got pictures of, I did use my phone camera and no light box so apologize for any bad quality photos.

First up I have all the ladies nails I did, sadly I didn't get pictures of them all and some turned out blurry. I had a ton of fun showing these girls all the different techiniques I use and espically amazed them all with stamping.

My sister was inspired by a pin on pinterest.

She loved purples and pearls.

This young lady loved my peacock nails from last year, she also is getting into doing her own nail art!

My Mom wanted a sunset, and also loved my gone with the wind so we incorporated a tree.

She was inspired by my blingy mani a few months back, and we changed the colors to pink.

The hornet represent the school mascot where she works.

I loved how the silver popped off the blue background, also the hot air balloon was a fan favorite.

My brother's fiance found an owl pin on pinterest that she wanted.
She wanted a subtle design that was work appropriate.

Even some of the men let me do their nails/nail!

This is my boyfriends, his favorite nfl team being the Texans.

Also my Dad wanted a confederate flag since he does civil war reenactments.

This man was the most fun to do, he knew exactly what he wanted. Love the bright colors!
It was a blast doing all these nails. I love being able to show others all the possibilities you can do with nail polish. It is also fun to watch how amazed they were with my collection.  I was most proud of the Texan's thumbs for my boyfriend, he was totally obsessed with them also :D
Have a great work week!!

Recycle Accent Nail Mani

 photo me_zps76cb00ed.png

I don't have much to say about today's mani, so quick post with mostly pictures. I decided to recycle my accent nail from yesterday for today's design.

Zoya: Yana
Color Club: Harp on It
Icing: Glamorous

I was being lazy and didn't want to remove the glitter so adding new color and holo dots was the quickest design I could think of. Enjoy your day!

Sat-ART-Day: Dotting Tools

Today's theme for Sat-ART-Day is Dotting Tools!! I realized when doing this challenge that I barely ever use my dotting tools.  I didn't do anything to complicated which really any mani with dotting tools is pretty easy. If you don't have dotting tools use items like pencil eraser, matches, pins, etc.

Zoya: Kristen and Natty
Butter LONDON: Matte Finish

Simple dots are so adorable! I kind of feel like my nails have chicken pocks, makes me giggle. You can do this with any color combination and I bet you will get lots of compliments! Check out the others dotting tool mani's below!!

Zoya Stunning and Irresistible Review, Nail Art

 photo button_zpsc89bd61d.png

Today I have the most picture heavy post I have ever done and it is for the two new Zoya Collections. Right when I seen these two collections I just loved how the colors went so well together and the pairing between the two collections seemed perfect to do some nail art!

For my review I have a picture with the colors alone to have some 'swatches' for you but mainly I am concentrating on the combination of the two with nail art. These colors are gorgeous on their own, but if you are like me wearing just one color at a time doesn't happen. I have each Stunning color combined with an Irresistible color, check out the pairings below.

Since this a huge post, I added a jump make sure to click Read More for my full review!

Zoya Summer Pixie Dust Review, Part 2 with Nail Art.

 photo button_zpsc89bd61d.png

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Today I thought I would bring some shine to everyone's Monday with the last three Zoya Summer Pixie Dust! If you missed the first three I reviewed last Friday you can find it HERE. With the same set up I will show my nail art first than macros with each color and my review, let's get started!

Polka Dot with Liberty and Miranda

I also got a before picture to show with the two colors and no polka dots

Liberty and Miranda

As much as I love the nail art I really love these two just by themselves side by side! Now for some macros of these two.

Liberty- "best described as a blue sugary sparkle." I am not one to wear this dark of a blue alone but I totally can see myself rocking this. Shown is 2 coats.

Miranda- "best described as a rose sparkle." This is my favorite shade of pink, I love rosy pinks and the sparkle is gorgeous. Shown is 2 coats.

Next I have a design with just Stevie, you all know my love of purple so I rocked this mani for three days!!

Zoya: Stevie and Mira

This is actually day two of wearing this mani, and I have to say even after day three it looked the same with NO tip wear at all :D

Stevie- "best described as a violet sparkle." I love the sparkle in this color, I do wish it was a darker purple since I prefer plums over lavender (purple freak) but it's great for summer being a brighter purple. I actually have shown 3 coats since I tried to make it a darker purple, you can get away with 2 tho.

My favorite from these three is defiantly Liberty surprisingly. All together I love every single one of these summer pixie's. Do you have a favorite of the six?

These will retail at $9 a bottle and $54 for all six!  Zoya Summer Pixie Dust can be found online HERE. Make sure to follow Zoya at your preferred social networking site to get inside news on deals, they always have something up their sleeve :D

Today is national purple up day to support military men and woman and their kids that have to deal with parents going away for long periods of time. My Stevie nail art is what I am wearing today to show my support!! Are you wearing purple today?
