Fail Marble/Crackle Attempt

 photo me_zps76cb00ed.png

Today Lovelies I have a bit of a fail post for you. Earlier this month Lucy from Lucy's Stash used crackle with stripping tape to create a marble effect she has a tutorial for this technique. I was inspired to give crackle another attempt with the same concept, but I am not a huge fan of this mani at all!

Color Club: Wink, Wink, Twinkle
Tip Top Nails: U Crack me Up
Sinful Colors: Black on Black

Do you see how horrible this mani is, or is it just me? This design really makes me think of jail bars for some reason. I think since I did horizontal lined instead of scattered lines it didn't turn out as good. I wanted to share this design even though I hate it, maybe this is your style? I guess crackle polish will still be in my vault.

Zoya Stunning and Irresistible Review, Nail Art

 photo button_zpsc89bd61d.png

Today I have the most picture heavy post I have ever done and it is for the two new Zoya Collections. Right when I seen these two collections I just loved how the colors went so well together and the pairing between the two collections seemed perfect to do some nail art!

For my review I have a picture with the colors alone to have some 'swatches' for you but mainly I am concentrating on the combination of the two with nail art. These colors are gorgeous on their own, but if you are like me wearing just one color at a time doesn't happen. I have each Stunning color combined with an Irresistible color, check out the pairings below.

Since this a huge post, I added a jump make sure to click Read More for my full review!

31 DC, Day 12: Tape Mani, Textured

Another challenge post to share today, we are close to half way thru the Laid Back 31 Day Challenge! The tougher ones are coming up, so far it's been pretty simple. I have one of the Milani textured polishes to show you for this tape mani.

Hard Candy: Pee Wee Purple
Milani Textures: Purple Streak

Macro to show the amazing texture.

I found this texture to be rougher than the OPI Liquid Sand and Pixie Dust. It only required two coats and the formula was easy to work with. For a much cheaper texture polish I was impressed. Can't wait to see the others tape mani's, check them out below!!

31 DC Day: 3, Gold and VNC: Tape Manicure

I had a pretty fun weekend being that it was my birthday weekend so I did a easy mani for these two challenges! I have one more day that I need to combine two challenges and I can't wait to be done with it. It is hard to try and combine two different themes!

I started with two coats of Jade: Mystic Gold, used stripping tape to make a design and applied Essie: Good as Gold. Finished with top coat of Out the Door.

I like the hologram poping thru the gold. Stripping tape is always so much fun to play with, but it can take alittle time cutting and placing the tape. It is not the most valentiney but o well!  As always check out the others below!

Horizontal Stripe Glitter Gradient

My NOTD is a sparkly gradient with hoirzonal stripes :) I used stripping tape and did a gradient over the tape. I have been alittle crazy with metallics if you haven't noticed.
Base color is one coat of Essie: Good as Gold, and the sparkle is China Glaze: Glitter All the Way, Top coat of Out the Door.
Check out Neverland Nail Blog here to see where my inspiration came from :) Lindsey always comes up with cute easy mani's.

Skittle Art Work

I wanted to do some art work over my mani from two days ago, but I couldn't narrow it down to just one. So I did a combined number of designs. It is my first skittle art work mani, usually I stick with one design but I like how the hologram shows thru each of these designs.
I used the same color for all these designs it is China Glaze: Harmony a metalic puple. On the thumb I did a flower stamp from plate BM-12. On index fingers I used stripping tape, middle finger framed with glitters, ring finger a water marble, and pinky a gradient in dots. Top coat of Out the door on all nails.
I actually like this mani alot, shows all different nail art ideas. The dot gradient is alittle hard to notice but thats cause I only used one color. Usually you would do two, I will probably do full mani of these soon.
Which design is your favorite?

Nail Art Mail!!

I am SO excited that the nail art supplies I ordered from Dollar Nail Art Store finally arrived!!!
This is the site to get all the smallglequins, rhinestones, nail stripping tape, foils, laser lace and much more. Everything is a dollar and the site has a minimum of $25 purchase, but there is defiantly not a problem trying to find 25 items to get on this site!
I feel less as an immature nail artist with these supplies and can't wait to use these supplies and show you my creations!

Neon Stars!

I am really excited about this post, I ordered some items from Born Pretty Store and they have arrived! Pictured below is the black stripping tape, dotting tools, and stamping plate CK- 04
The colors I used are as followed: Pink nail is China Glaze: Pool Party with Color Club: Wing Fling. Orange nail is China Glaze: Orange Knockout with Color Club: Sparkle and Soar. Yellow nail is Nina Ultra Pro: Solar Flare with Color Club: Daisy Does It. Green nail is China Glaze: I'm With the Life Guard and Color Club: Fly With Me. Blue nail is Studio M: Total Wow and Color Club: Sky High. To add more sparkle I top coated with Northern Lights.
Now for the design aspect I used the black stripping tape I bought from bornprettystore. I have used taped before with my past designs so when I tried this kind out it wasn't to difficult to use. It stuck to my nails very well so the polish didn't seep under, the only thing I wish this tape came with was a dispenser of some sort to make it easier to cut the pieces.
I taped off the star than using Sinful Colors: Black on Black I went over the entire nail. To remove the tape I found it helpful to use tweezers. Top coat of Out the Door to finish my mani off :) I can't wait to come up with more designs using this stripping tape, I have a feeling I will go thru it in no time!!
Hope you love this one as much as me!
