Zoya Magical Pixie Dust Collection, Review

 photo button_zpsc89bd61d.png

I have the most gorgeous polishes to review for you today. Yes you guessed right it is the Zoya Magical Pixie Dust Collection! I am first going to start out saying my original thoughts on this collection are ALL completely wrong. First off I thought, o boy chunky glitter's this is going to be a pain to apply. I then also thought wow these are going to be extremely rough and get caught on everything. Also, as with with all glitters I was not excited about the removal process. I am happy to say that none of that was true with these polishes! Check the preview out below and click over the jump for my full review with swatches and a video of these polishes!

Negative Space Red & White Hearts

Hello Lovelies! How fitting is that for this Valentine week? ;) My mani today is all hearts and red. I was inspired by One Nail To Rule Them All for today's mani. She has a great tutorial on negative space mani's, even with her doing a heart shape.

 Butter London: Pillar Box Red
Cosmetic Arts: Picture Day

I added glequins instead of outlining my heart, thought it gives more sparkle! This heart stamp is part of the new Pueen buffet stamping set, so far I love that set there are so many options! For being my first negative space mani I am sort of digging this idea. I have entered this mani into a contest #RINAILART, wish me luck!
Have you tried this technique? Whats your thought on negative space mani's?

Nail Painting Weekend with the Boyfriend

Hello lovelies! Since I didn't get a post edited for today (crazy morning) I thought I would post about my recently uploaded Youtube Video. Wait, did you know that I have a youtube channel now?!?! If not, check it out here.

To explain the video lets start from the top! My boyfriend has a youtube channel, where he does vlogs and skits. He is going to school for broadcasting and video production which is why he enjoys youtube. I thought about doing this collaboration when him and his sister were joking about him doing his nails, since she recently joined in on the fun of nail art.

Last weekend we made a two part video for both of our channels. His channel shows me teaching him each nail art style on HIS nails and mine shows HIM painting the same mani on my nails!! I can't even tell you how much fun it was to do this, you will have many laughs at his attempt and maybe learn some simple nail art styles from me teaching him :D

First watch his video learning how to do the nail art.

Now watch his attempt!

I had so much fun doing this, it still makes me laugh when I re watch them. I was proud of my boyfriend and I think he has lots of potential ;) Although these nails didn't last more than 10min on each of us it was totally worth it.
Have you ever had a guy try to paint your nails?

Two Tutorials with KKCenterHK Brush Set

 photo me_zps76cb00ed.png photo button_zpsc89bd61d.png

As I mentioned yesterday I have two tutorials to share with you today. One is how I created the stamping decal and the other is for the feather brush design from yesterday mani's.

First Up is creating a nail decal.

1. Stamp the design on your chosen stamper and start to fill in the areas with your chosen colors.
I have shown a colored in mermaids hair and face.
As you can see this detail brush is perfect for filing in small areas.
2. Once your entire imaged is colored in put a coat of top coat over the image, let dry completly.
3. Carefully pull the decal off your stamper (as shown above)
4. With a sticky base place the decal onto your nail.
5. Clean off the excess with brush of acetone and top coat to secure and finish off your decal.

Next is a simple tutorial for Feather Brush Design

1. Start with your base color
2. Place polish at the tips of the feather brush
3. Swipe from left to right across your nails
4. Same motion with second color
5. Top coat and clean up cuticles

As you can see with my nail decal it is important to get all the tiny areas filled in, I have a few spots on the mermaids face that isn't perfect. The fan brush design is fun to do with many different colors, and you could do more than two.
have you tried any of these two techniques yet?

You can find this brush set here for only $13.75.  KKCenterHK is a great website to find tons of items for nail art.  If you haven't visited this site yet you should really go and check out all they have to offer for nail decor, make sure to use my 10% off code below!!
