I surprisingly really enjoyed wearing this mani, and it really reminds me of orange creamsicles! Perhaps these orange polishes wont get neglected anymore :D

Zoya Awaken Shimmer Marble

 photo button_zpsc89bd61d.png

Happy Friday! Yesterday I showed you the Zoya Awaken collection, and today I have some nail art using my three favorite polishes of that collection. I was really hoping that the shimmers would water marble well and I am happy to show you how it turned out.

Zoya: Dillon, Hudson, and Rebel

Yay! They do marble well. It is more of the subtle effect which I really like with these pastel colors. I love having two accent nails when doing water marbles.
Have a great weekend!

Zoya Spring Water Marble

 photo me_zps76cb00ed.png

Good Morning, hope everyone's morning has started off great! We got another 3 inches of snow last night so I had to shouvel to get to work and the roads weren't scrapped yet. Although since it is about 20 degrees it really wasn't terrible. My mani today is nothing like the weather outside, I wore this on ground hog day hoping to get an early spring... but it wasn't predicted too :(

Zoya: Mira, Rocky, and Josie

I love how the water marble turned out, it has been way to many months since I have done one of those. I think it has brought back my love of a beautiful water marble. Also as you can see my pointer finger has taken a break :( Does anyone else have that one nail that refuses to grow?

Water Marble 31DC2013 Mani

 photo me_zps76cb00ed.png photo button_zpsc89bd61d.png

Good morning and happy Friday lovelies! I am really loving my water marble mani today. Since there is endless color choices to do a water marble and I just couldn't narrow it down I asked my boyfriend for help. He must of had mardi gras on the mind since he choose yellow, purple, and green. Check it out below

Zoya: Mira, Josie, and Darcy

I really do love doing water marbles, especially just for an accent finger.  I wanted to change up a normal water marble so I added the dots. I have seen this before and loved it so I am happy I got to try it finally.
Everyone have a great weekend, and get ready for for the next set of mani being the theme, inspired by...

Water Marble for Mom

While I was on vacation I had the chance to do my mom's nails. One of the thing my family was always curious of was how I did the water marbles, so everyone gathered around and watched... I have been wanting to marble with my new Zoya's and since they are pastels my mom was up for it!!
First off start with a white base, I used Wet n Wild, French Creme. Marbling colors were Zoya: Wednesday, Shelby, and Kendal. Shelby was used for the rest of the fingers as well. Top coat of Out the Door.
I now love marbling with Zoya, by far it is the best water marbling brand!! I was very happy with how it turned out and my mom loved it also!!

Skittle Art Work

I wanted to do some art work over my mani from two days ago, but I couldn't narrow it down to just one. So I did a combined number of designs. It is my first skittle art work mani, usually I stick with one design but I like how the hologram shows thru each of these designs.
I used the same color for all these designs it is China Glaze: Harmony a metalic puple. On the thumb I did a flower stamp from plate BM-12. On index fingers I used stripping tape, middle finger framed with glitters, ring finger a water marble, and pinky a gradient in dots. Top coat of Out the door on all nails.
I actually like this mani alot, shows all different nail art ideas. The dot gradient is alittle hard to notice but thats cause I only used one color. Usually you would do two, I will probably do full mani of these soon.
Which design is your favorite?

Neon Marble

Back to nail art instead of plain one color nails :) I have been wanting to do a neon water marble for awhile and when I heard China Glaze was introducing neon collection for this summer I couldn't wait till my Sally Store carried them. Sadly most of them were taken by the time I got they so here is the two I was able to snag.
Started with Wet n Wild: French White Creme. Used China Glaze: I'm With the Lifeguard and Beach Cruise-r. Top coat of Out the Door.
These colors are awesomely bright. I can't wait to use I'm With the Lifeguard in other nail designs this summer. Hopefully I'll be able to get some more of the new Neon's later this month also.

Better than Sex Water Marble

In the Sun!
We have all heard about better than sex desserts, here is a water marble that is very fitting to this title. I have searched for a sparkle polish that you can marble with and finally found Color Club Take Wing Collection. These polishes are beautiful in the bottle and for such a cheap price I bought them all :D
To start with I used my Layla Hologram: Mercury Twilight 3 coats for base. For the Marbling Colors I used Color Club: Metamorphosis, Fly With Me, and Wing Fling. Top coat of Out the Door.
There you have it, the polishes to have the better than sex nail design. Of course you can choose differnt colors for the design but the key to making it shine like no other is the Hologram base color! Your really cant get enough of it when your in the sun, which is perfect for summer time!!
Right Hand, Shade
Left Hand, Shade

Thumb, In the Sun. Check out the Hologram

Thumb, In the Shade
Have you found other sparkle polishes that work with water marbling?

Another Water Marble

Well my last water marble didn't last very long, I wasn't a huge fan of the swirl design so I had to do another one with my basic design.
Base color I used China Glaze: White on White, for the marble colors I used all China Glazes: Afterglow, Liquid Leather, and Mediterranean Charm. Than I went over it with the Afterglow for more of a shinny effect.
It didn't turn out as I hoped but I still like the colors. The black looks more like a navy with the Afterglow top coat luckily the colors still work. Sorry for the ding in my middle finger, seems like I always get a couple dings when water marbling.

Swirl Marble Attempt

Wow did I have a busy weekend, defiantly can tell summer is here. Had my college graduation, my sister and cousin High School Graduation, plus my cousin had her baby! So to get back at doing my nails I tried a new marble design.
Used all China Glazes for this one, starting with the base coat White on White, than for marble colors I used the White on White, Recycle, and Mediterranean Charm. Top coat of Northern Lights.
This was a fun design for marbling, its hard to make the swirls turn out close to the same was my only problem. Which I guess gives it a interesting touch but I may be a little OCD on my nails...
Do you like to have your water marbles match or have different designs?

Purple Marble :D

Wahoo, I finally am able to do a marble in my favorite color! Love the colors so much.
Base coat was Zoya: Kendal, marbling colors was China Glaze: VIII and Harmony, than I used butter LONDON: Knackered. Top coat of Out the Door.
I was very surprised that the butter LONDON worked for marbling, of course this color didn't really show much since its so sheer but you can see a little of the holo glitters. I like the idea of having the base coat show thru and using a sheer color in the marbling to show it.

Orange Marble

I have been loving water marbles lately, I wear these ones longer cause they are so neat. Lately any nail polish I have bought I have made sure it would work for marbling, now I have lots of choices :)
This marble started with two coats Studio M: Honey Love. For the marbling colors I used OPI: A Paz-itively Hot, Sally Hansen Insta Dri: Snappy Sorbet, and Studio M: Honey Love. Top coat of Out the Door.
These colors together are very pretty but not for my skin type unfortunately. If they could pop alittle more it would be gorgeous.
What do you think?

Blue Water Marble

This is by far my best water marble to date, love the shapes I was able to create and it turned out great on both hands! It is always so hard for me to get my left hand good, being left handed, but I got it this time :D

To start I did 3 coats of Wet n Wild Megalast: Break the Ice, I didn't use plain white cause last time it showed thru in spots and I hated it. For my marbling colors I did. China Glaze: Shower Together, Blue Iguana, and Studio M: Whose that Girl. Top coat of Out the Door. It is actually hard to see the three colors cause Blue Iguana is Glittery but blends in with Shower Together. Next time I will have to remember to change the order so it is separated from Shower Together.
I choose blue colors because its my Sisters prom tomorrow and that is the color of her dress! I wish she was letting me do this on her nail,  but of course she wants a french mani done with her fake nails :P Instead of using the petroleum jelly like last time I used tape and defiantly will continue with this method.
When you water marble do you start with your good hand first? I think next time I will be switching it up.

Full Water Marble Mani

Well I have finally completed a full Water Marble Mani. For my first time doing one I only did an accent finger. This time around it was easier since I bought OPI colors which we like heaven to work with.
Base coat was Wet n Wild: French White Creme. I used OPI: La Paz-itively Hot, Pamplona Purple and Zoya: Kendal for the water marble. Top coat of Northern Lights to add some sparkle.
I am a huge fan of this one, instead of tapping them off like last time I used Petroleum Jelly around the nail. I found that it was harder than the tape.
Which method do you prefer to use for doing your water marble mani's?

Water Marbling Experince

So I did it, I tried out water marbling... WOW is this a hard technique. First I had to play around and see which of my nail polishes would spread in the water, than I had to see if they would work together. I found that some didn't spread if it was the second ring. The next problem was that it would dry to fast that I couldn't draw a design, or that my design wouldn't turn out. Once I found out the brands that worked best for me, I went shopping for more colors!! China Glaze, Orly, and Sally Hansen, are the three that I found work the best.
For mine I used China Glaze: Shower Together, Orly: Plum Noir, and Sally Hansen: Silver Sweep. The colors I used for the rest of my nails was Orly: Close Your Eyes. It's a shiny version of the Plum Noir. Top Coat of Out the Door.
I really liked the color combination of this mani, but I do wish I could of captured better parts of the water marble. This technique will take more practice, definitely will be seeing more soon.
