Sat-ART-Day, Amethyst Pattern Skittle

Welcome back to Sat-Art-Days! Last month it was put on hold for a 31 Day Challenge that I choose not to take part in. What better way to start this series off than a purple pattern skittle mani!!! We choose Amethyst since it's the birth stone for February, what a coincident my birthday is in this month ;)

My colors are Zoya: Mira, Lime Crime: Lavendairy, Color Club: Glitter Wonderland, plate BM-223, and top coat of Out the Door.

Yup this is a totally me mani, obviously! I am starting to get a hang of skittle mani's, it's alot of fun combining patterns.  Make sure to check out all the other Amethyst Skittle Pattern mani's below, I can't wait to see what we all come up with!

Fishtail Mani

Hi all! Lately I have been trying to go thru all my untried colors and today I have a few Zoya's. I also wanted to keep with my theme of trying new nail art so I decided to do a 'fishtail' mani. Now this can be confused with chevron, but that is more like straight V's this fishtail has some curve to it.

I used three Zoya's: Kennedy, Tru, and Monica, with top coat of Out the Door.

My ring finger is probably the worse, I don't know why but I couldn't perfect that one (tried twice). I do like this design it was quite simple to. I have one more new design to try and I am super excited for it, make sure to stay tuned in! :)

BAM! Purple Sparkle!!

I have found the BEST light purple sparkle :) If you remember a couple months ago I found the best dark purple sparkle. I am pretty sure this one is now my favorite of all time. It isn't a new color just one that I found a swatch of on a random blog and decided I must order it!
To start the mani I used Wet n Wild- On a Trip as my base, 1 coat. Than for the sparkle it is China Glaze: Marry A Millionaire, 1 coat also. Top coat of Out the Door.
This polish was SO easy to apply and you only needed one coat. This is a different glitter bomb because it has stringy glitter (see picture above) such a pretty macro shot. You can also see the green glitters, that makes it so interesting to look at! Overall this mani is supper shiny in the sun which is perfect for this summer :)

Hits, Dionisio

I hope everyone had a fantastic 4th of July! We have had a heat wave in Michigan past 3 days so I fugred perfect chance to do a holo. Wahoo my first Hits! Of course I choose a dark purple holo! We all know my love for purple, and boy does this suit me :)
Was three coats, which is usual for holos. Top coat of Out the Door didn't effect the holo either.
This is a linear holo as you can see in the picture, all in all a great polish to add to my holo collection.
Hope you enjoyed this small but amazing post.

Freehand Purple Cheetah

I am totally in love with this mani, I found a new blog last night that I have been going thru all her post. She is amazing check out Rebecca at Rebeccalikesnails. I love how she free hands cheetah so that you can use different colors without having to have them be stamp able colors. I did mine with dotting tools, I need to get a brush set soon so I can master this look.
To start my base color is Sally Hansen: Lacey Lilac, the inside of the cheetah is China Glaze: Harmony, while I used China Glaze: VIII for the lines. Its a dark purple little hard to tell. My studs came for the Dollar Nail Art Store. This was a great way to incorporate them.
I hope you all love this mani as much as me. I am really getting the hang of nail art. Let me know if you have any suggestions for me.

Purple Marble :D

Wahoo, I finally am able to do a marble in my favorite color! Love the colors so much.
Base coat was Zoya: Kendal, marbling colors was China Glaze: VIII and Harmony, than I used butter LONDON: Knackered. Top coat of Out the Door.
I was very surprised that the butter LONDON worked for marbling, of course this color didn't really show much since its so sheer but you can see a little of the holo glitters. I like the idea of having the base coat show thru and using a sheer color in the marbling to show it.
